I know a lot of people that sign up with Wealthy Affiliate seem to get lost right off the bat… they get so excited and even overwhelmed with all of the stuff that you get with the membership that it seems almost impossible to get started with anything!

First thing’s first…

Calm down. Remember that you signed up so you could make money and have a better life, financially. Right?

So… nothing comes free, including time. There’s no special button that crams everything into your head at once. It IS a lot like school… you have to learn at your own pace!

Start off with the 8-week action plan. This is THE BEST way to get started and to start understanding everything.

Next, while you finish the 1st week of the action plan, start going through the forums and looking through the questions being asked. You’re going to learn a lot of stuff just by checking that out! Guys like Travis Sago spill the beans on how they’re making 6-7 figures a year. No, you will NOT learn this type of stuff on DigitalPoint because there is too much contradicting information out there from people who HAVE NOT made ANY money, much less 6-7 figures!

I would spend at least  an hour a day looking through the forums, for the first 2 weeks or so.

Go through the videos and the ebooks over the first 4 weeks.

After your first month - you’re going to know more, after 4 weeks, than most guys who have been in this business for YEARS. No joke. Because most guys just ‘go with the flow’ and never learn how to stop wasting time!

You can make money from promoting welathy affiliate (through their affiliate program) while you’re learning too. You can also give away your own services and earn WA Gold which is actual money!

Say, for instance, you’re a writer and you enjoy writing articles on Automobiles. Well, if you give away your articles on WA - you can earn WA Gold from those who want to say “thank you”. Then, at the end of the money you can cash in!

Don’t forget about all of the other great tools there are at Wealthy afiliate university! Keyword research, article spinners, etc, etc. so much stuff that I don’t even want to start going through all of the typing.

I have to admit. Referring people to products these days is a major task, it seems. With all of the scams going on around the Internet Marketing community, along with the redundant and recycled garbage, it’s hard to take any “Marketing” training too serious these days.

Finally! I have been waiting patiently for Wealthy Affiliate 3.0, thankfully it’s finally here.

There’s a lot of confusion for some people as to where they should start when they sign up for their Wealthy Affiliate membership…

If you want to ensure your success with your membership, go straight to the 8 Week Action plan and get started. I wasted my first week by simply reading everything and not taking some action…

Action is definitely the key to your success. The Action plan is a great way to manage your own success as it gives you a head start…

Of course, you definitely want to read as much as you can right off the bat - but getting started with the Action Plan is definitely a great way to start off!

Take the first few days to get familiar with the basics of Internet and Affiliate Marketing, understand what you need to do to get going. There’s so much to do on the Wealthy Affiliate members area that it gets a little confusing… so let’s go over this again:

• Get started with the 8 Week Action Plan
• Make sure you take action and click on each link in the action plan (Firefox users and IE7 users -> open in new tab)
• Go through the Basic Training material in the Learning resources… DO NOT go to advanced or intermediate levels, unless you’re very familiar with this stuff!
• Next - now that you’ve got the basics down… head over to the forum and register so you can go through the General Marketing Discussion forum and read through all of the great posts by Travis Sago, Thad, Dave B and others. There’s some EXCELLENT information in those forum posts…

If you follow these steps - you’ll be making a HUGE jump over the other newbies and you’ll get to a successful level in shorter time.

Wealthy Affiliate 3.0 is right around the corner! The Wealthy Affiliates (Kyle and Carson) have given us a teaser but there’s no real information, just yet.

I’m excited to see what’s new and what’s been upgraded.

When you login to the membership area, you can see the Coming Soon message with a nice looking image. They say it’s within the first few weeks of 2008, so I’m hoping that it’s sometime in the next week!
